PurEst Naturals was born in 1998 in my Kitchen on W 152nd street in Harlem. I had been introduced to Shea Butter that year after looking to help my life-long battle with Eczema. Many people may disagree, but I learned to look at having eczema as a blessing more than a Curse. For me I use my Eczema as an indicator for what is good and bad for my body inside and out! 

As much as I love fragrance and store bought Products, Many of the brands out there would leave my skin irritated and I knew I could not use them. I created a few products that not only smelled good, with little essential oil or fragrance, that helped to heal my skin.

Facial Products-  A few years after my experience being an Esthetician and practicing Herbal and Ayurvedic Skin care, I began formulating Facial Care products for my clients of various skin types, especially ethnic skin.

Baby Products-  In 2002, I had my 1st child, Amiri. Even though I was a Vegan, My baby girl (Now over 17!) was born with Eczema and plagued with food Allergies as well. So of course I made every product that was put onto her skin. It was an interesting Journey because her Eczema (moist, oozing) was very different from mines (Dry, cracking).
